The first, early 19th century, with brass-toned paint over a black ground (6.5 x 9 in.) (pierced for hanging; good surfaces); the second, circa 1900, gold paint over black on both sides, with suspension loops (17 1/8 x 18 in.) (rough surfaces with major losses to one side).
