Kan'ei Period, circa 1630, traditional abumi form, the interiors inlaid with shell, the exteriors having geometric decorations, signed on the face below the buckle, seven mon are depicted at the toe of each.

From the Estate of Harry Howard of Nantucket Island, MA

Included is a signed "Certificate of Antiquity" dated November 25, 1966, from Y. Tsuruki & Co., Inc. of Kyoto, Japan. Mr. Tsuruki states that the stirrups were produced by "Tsuji Tomoshige."
