Ca. 1830-1840, bearing the touchmark "F.M." for Frederick Marquand, who was active in both Savannah, GA and New York, NY from 1815-1840. Applied die-rolled decoration to mouth, waist, and foot; the body engraved "From MJF Graham to D. Graham Adee." (Possibly presented to David Graham Adee (1837-1901), son of Dr. Augustus Alvey Adee (1802-1844) and Amelia Kinnaird Graham Adee (1812-1864) of New York. David Adee, his wife, and their daughter settled in Maryland. Like his brother, Alvey Augustus Adee, David worked for several years in the State Department, but was better known as a lawyer and author.)
