Circa 1970, manufactured by The French Company under special license for Louis Vuitton and retailed through Saks Fifth Avenue, designed as a large double sided folding garment bag composed of classic monogram canvas with caramel colored trim, the inside lined in brown cotton with fittings to hold clothing in place and detachable shoe compartment, the outside zippers with optional lock closure and optional hanger for vertical use and double button closure to secure the two sides of the bag together during travel or storage.

Due to the increasing demand for Louis Vuitton products in the United States by the 1970s, Louis Vuitton contracted out the French Company, an American based firm, to produce Louis Vuitton luggage and handbags under special license within the United States and sell them through high end department stores such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. This partnership lasted until the early 1990's.

With overall having travel wear associated with age and use, particularly to the caramel trim and on the bottom corners as expected; one small area of canvas which has been scuffed through to lining and areas which are smudged or dirty, particularly to the edges; interior is clean.
