Circa 1980s, designed as a large scarf wrap of silk and wool blend with a basic red and black plaid motif intersected with sections of rich colored paisley and Moroccan style patterning, woven throughout with various colored intersecting metallic threading; labeled "YSL" in one corner of the field, completed by a fringe border to all four sides, further labeled with a tag reading "Yves Saint Laurent Foulards/Made in Italy" as well as a fabric content tag.

Yves Saint Laurent adored Morocco, where he kept a home and exquisite gardens. A large amount of his most revered and collected work has to do with his collections and accessories inspired by his love of Morocco, of which this large and unusual scarf is a fine example.

In very good to excellent condition with some loose threading to edges as to be expected with a fringe cut scarf and part of the fabric content tag has become detached but is still strongly attached on one side.
