In the New Culture movement style, early 20th century, unsigned, on brown silk; the first depicting a monk seated on a lion, holding a pagoda in his hand; the second depicts a monk seated on a brown fringed rug leaning on a wooden root, presented under glass in a white and blue double mat in a gold and brown painted rectilinear wooden frame. DOA 36.5 x 22.5 in.; paintings 30 x 16.25 in.

Paintings were originally scrolls, as a portion of the silk headers are attached to the tops of each painting.
