Early 20th century, ink and color on paper, the first is a figural summer landscape painting depicting a scholar lounging while his attendant prepares a meal, attached to a silk woven border and framed in a black painted rectilinear frame (DOA 52.25 x 28 in.; painting 46.25 x 22 in.); the second is a spring scene depicting a cat perched on a rock, with a calligraphy inscription, signature and red seal stamp in the upper right corner, mounted with a silk brocade border and framed under glass in a black painted rectilinear frame (DOA 57.5 x 32 in.; painting 46.25 x 22 in.).

Both paintings were originally scroll paintings; with attached original silk borders.

The first painting has staining, scratches and paint loss to the silk, and paint loss to the frame; the second painting has creases to the paper, paint loss to the frame and damage to the frame on the lower left edge.
