Chinese Export Gilt & Lacquer Dressing Mirror

Circa 1800, two drawer form with serpentine front raised on four shaped bracket feet, gilt foliate decoration throughout, the top further enhanced with a landscape cartouche and monogram "PN," each drawer opens to reveal eight shaped and fitted lacquer ware boxes (all original), with oval mirror crested by cascading bellflowers above.

By descent through the family of William Nexsen (1775-1866) and his wife, Polsey Carman Nexsen (1776-1852), of Brooklyn, New York
