American, 1970s, designed as a wonderful day dress composed of wool crepe with full length sleeves, the body of the dress having a v-neck and center seam which runs the entire length of the dress, each sleeve accented by a zipper so that the sleeves may be partially unzipped and folded over for cuffs, lined in silk and labeled "Pauline Trigere", completed by an integral zip closure which runs along the back center seam of the dress, accented by an original matching wool crepe shawl which may also be tied as a scarf around the neck.

French born American fashion designer Pauline Trigere was known for her beautiful and effective clothes of simple cut and elegant proportions, making her an ideal designer for the classic, American lady.

The dress is in excellent vintage condition with only very slight signs of wear and one very small hole slightly larger than a pin head near the proper left seam which is hard to find and not seen when worn; the shawl is in fair to good condition with one area of noticeable moth damage towards the center of the shawl.
