Mexico, circa 1955, designed as a sterling silver collar and matching bracelet, trapezoid panel links hinged and set with a triangular shaped piece of tortoiseshell inlay, both completed by slide in clasp with safety catch on the bracelet. Necklace impressed "925 Mexico Antonio Taxco" and bracelet impressed "Mexico TS-30 925."

Necklace 6 in. diameter; Bracelet 3 in.

Approximately 16 troy oz. total

The current consignor purchased this exquisite set from Christie's New York, "Important 20th Century Decorative Arts," December 13 and 14, 1985, lot 430 where it is shown photographed. Accompanied by a copy of the original catalogue From a Chapel Hill, NC Collection

The set is in excellent vintage condition with light wear associated with age and use. Accompanied by an extra link for the bracelet in which the tortoise has been broken.
