Norbert Irvine received his BA from Washington & Lee University, his MA from Claremont University, and his MFA from East Carolina Univerty. He lives in Asheville and now works on small 8 x 8 inch paintings on canvas. This work is from a series Irvine created which were inspired by photographs of land forms and waterways taken of the ground when looking from an airplane.
