Lot Details & Additional Photographs
18th century, the standing figure depicted in prayer and affixed to a hardwood plinth with applied carved ivory putti mask with floral garland, retaining two old paper labels on the verso - one reading "...Figure of St Antoine with... / from Cardinal Fiesch's (sic) Collection."

Figure 11 in.; DOA 14.25 in.

Estate of Mrs. Vail Kerr Benz Sivertsen of Minneapolis, MN and San Francisco, CA

Very finely carved in the round, with exceptional detail to drapery folds and facial features - including open mouths to saint and putti.

Several old stable hairlines to figure; four replaced fingers; one segment of floral garland is likely replaced, possibly missing an ornament (small hole behind neck).
