Etching, pencil signed in lower right margin, artist's monogram in the plate, depicts the great American sculptor Augustus St. Gaudens. Presented in a vintage gilt frame, the leatherette backing having the gallery label for Arthur Ackermann & Son, Inc., Chicago, which states this is an "original etching." Plate 7 5/8 x 5 3/8 in.; Sheet 13.75 x 10.25 in.; DOA 15 x 11.5 in.

Proficient in several media, Anders Zorn was one of Sweden's most prolific and acclaimed artists. He studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts in Stockholm while yet a teenager and thereafter applied his talents to both continental and American subjects. Zorn's renown was such that he was commissioned to paint three American presidents.
