Mark of Charles Price, London (1818), rectangular form raised on shell and scroll bracket feet, the edge with applied border of shell and acanthus scrolls, two pen troughs flank a raised center with two cut glass inkwells and taperstick holder; the inkwell mounts and bobeche feature a grape and floral motif while the taperstick continues with the shell and acanthus scroll design; the snuffer with London (1817) hallmark; the majority of the silver elements with a period script monogram "HSA" beneath a coronet and with a later second script monogram "AGBC."
