First quarter 20th century, each seated on a rectangular base with "Tiger Skin" pattern sancai glaze, one lion rests a paw on a brocade ball and the other lion rests paw atop a small cub.

Estate of Henry Marcelle, Westport, CT Mr. Marcelle was a Sinclair Oil Corp. executive, first hired in 1922. He acquired these lots while traveling for business in China and Japan from the late 1930s through the 1950s.
