Gerard Tempest is the father of "Abstract Spiritualism" and his works are housed at the Vatican Museum. Between 1958 and 1963 he designed and built the Villa Tempesta in Chapel Hill. This sculpture was among the original elements by Tempest placed in the home. Its companion sculpture is at SUNY-Purchase.
