Pine with stained surface, the desk having a low shaped back gallery and hinged slant lid over a well interior, (basically a lap desk) set upon a stand with single flush mount drawer, square tapered legs (30 x 23.5 x 15.5 in.). The side chair is a variant of the dining chair, the nipple finials and heavily beveled slat found almost exclusively at Watervliet Community, the turned front stretcher an atypical feature (24.5 x 18.5 x 14 in.)
