The first an ivory salesman, artist signed (1 5/8 in.) ;the second a wooded hut with figures inside, possibly carved from a tagua nut, unsigned (1 in.); the third an ivory dancer with rotating mask, artist signed (2 1/8 in.); and the fourth an ivory man with bird and basket, artist signed (1 3/8 in.).

Estate of the late Frances Hoefle of Sarasota, Florida and LaJolla, California. She and her husband, Robert, traveled extensively throughout Hong Kong, Africa, India, and elsewhere during the 1950s and 1960s. A life-long collector of fine art and antiques, she served as a docent at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with the public.
