Pair of Chinese Throne Chairs

Probably Republic Period, patinated wood appears to be rosewood, the carved and pierced back is heavily inlaid with mother-of-pearl and inset with a rouge marble disk, the arms and skirt also inlaid with mother-of-pearl incorporating various animal forms with the more typical floral motif.

Constructed in a two part form; some inlay loss; the original inset marble seat replaced with wood; later corner blocks.
