The first likely Japanese, Meiji period, the terminal with carved monkeys, the shaft with inlaid branch with berries and bugs (small split to shaft, several inlaid leaves missing, butterfly missing) (9 7/8 in.); the second an open twist carved handle, silk parasol shade, matching ivory terminus (shattering to silk) (handle 10 in.; LOA 30.5 in.).
