Dated 1908, sterling standard, marked Michelsen, Copenhagen, fully hallmarked on base, body, lid, and burner; the oblong lobed body with two cast and applied lion form ring handles is supported on four reeded columns rising from a shaped lower shelf with fitted burner, a domed cover repeats the gadrooning and is capped by a carved acorn form ivory finial with silver knop, also with carved ivory fan form spigot.
