Factory shortened "Artillery" Model 1861, .58 caliber, with 30 in. barrel, 46 in. overall length, walnut stock with brass nosecap and two bands, lockplate marked with eagle, U.S., S.N. & W.T.C./ FOR/MASSACHUSETTS, a second eagle marking is below the percussion cap nipple, dated 1863 on lock, dated 1864 on barrel at breech, numbered 51 on barrel tang and on buttplate.

Working action, missing ramrod, bent sling swivel, original surfaces throughout with expected small dings to the stock. A detailed condition report by Gene Hawkins, who disassembled the weapon, is included.
