As follows: 1) a folded letter concerning a whiskey transaction to G. W. Swepson at Haw River Depot, the address panel carries a five-cent CSA #1 tied with an Augusta, GA cds, February 20, 1862, glue residue along one side, small areas of paper loss. The addressee was likely George Swepson, cotton mill owner and founder of Swepsonville, NC. 2-3) the second and third are covers, each carrying the Company Shops cds, one dated April tying a pair of five-cent CSA #6s and the other dated June tying a pair of five-cent CSA #7s, both addressed to Greensboro, NC, decent legible impressions. Company Shops - a railroad facility - became Burlington, NC in 1887. 4) ten-cent CSA #11 tied by a Graham, NC cds, April date illegible, to Demopolis, AL, somewhat weak cancel.
