As follows: 1) Austin Postmaster Provisional with handstamped PAID and manuscript "10", Austin cds, September 28, 1861, to Greensboro, NC, enigmatic docketing on left margin reads " Col. Forrest/ Sept. 29./61('Wright claim got into hands (Sheldon failed)," missing flap, tiny split. 2) Trans-Mississippi cover with (5) ten-cent CSA #12s tied with an indistinct cds on back flap, inscribed "From W. Nicholson 'Terry's Texas Rangers' / 50 cts Postage paid on the back to go through by mail / via Meridian Miss.," to Bastrop, TX, pencil-dated November 3, 1863. Some soiling, the stamps are badly mangled, however great historical association. The sender, William Nicholson, served in "D" Co., 8th Texas Cavalry, C.S.A. 3) $500 Confederate bond, Richmond, VA, December 25, 1864, 7 x 9 in., interest to be paid in Richmond or Marshall, Texas. Folds and overall browning. Included is a Philatelic Foundation booklet, "The Trans-Mississippi Mails After the Fall of Vicksburg."
