Asian Six Panel Lacquered Screen, 19th Century

Black lacquer and gesso over wood, designs have been carved into the gesso and then appropriately tinted, one side decorated with floral panels over detailed scenes of warlords and battle, the reverse with allover birds in flowering branches, raised on shaped feet.
