Published in Nurenberg, circa 1730s, Madrid's plat is framed by scenes of the city's palaces, gardens and diversions, including an early bullfight in which seven of the animals are being baited simultaneously. Royal properties are tinted in red and green. Presented behind a mat in a wooden frame.
