Assembled George III Sterling Master Salt Set

Including two pairs of master salt dishes, the first a pair with 1773 date letter and "WC" sponsor's mark, of circular form with gadrooned rim and raised on three cast and applied hoof feet with shell knees, each monogrammed "W*S" on underside (one salt with all three legs reattached) (1.5 in.); the second pair also of circular form with ruffled rim and raised on three cast and applied hoof feet, one with 1770 date letter and the other with 1771 date letter, both with partially rubbed sponsor's mark that appears to read "AN / IS" in a quatrefoil punch, monogrammed "L W*E" (one salt with repaired leg) (1.25 in.). Also included in this lot is a group of four master salt spoons. Clear glass liners for each salt.
