Oil on masonite, signed "Kuehne" lower right, in gilt wooden frame made by the artist's son, Richard, with his incised signature, "R. Kuehne" on lower back slat. Max Kuehne was associated with the artist's colony at Rockport, Massachusetts and also painted extensively in Europe.
