Both matted in burlwood frames, the first a plate from Harper's Weekly, July 19, 1862 , later hand-coloring, shows Ambrose Burnside receiving a presentation sword (DOA 14 x 16.5 in.); the second a portion of Plate XL from the Official Records Atlas of 1895, showing Roanoke Island and New Bern (DOA 23 x 10 in.).
