Of baluster form with waisted neck and flaring mouth and base, the slender tapering sides expertly decorated with flowering branches in the musen technique in muted enamels on a peach ground, Sakigake seal of Namikawa Sosuke (1847-1910) to base. Meiji Period. Retaining original wooden packing box, and each vase has been fitted with a plastic liner to hold water.

One vase with tight, stable hairlines / crazing to body (approximately 2.25 in.), with discoloration; possible minute flake to one leaf. The second vase with area where the polish is slightly different to the touch and with faint dark line visible beneath the enamel; small stable craze with discoloration to collar; small flake to interior of rim.
