Individual characteristics are as follows: The first suitcase carries the initials "M. L. D." and has a brass maker's plate declaring that it is "Custom Built" (24.5 x 18 x 8.5 in.) (Wear to the handle; a few insignificant scuffs; internally clean and sound); the second suitcase has neither maker's plate nor initials, though it matches its mate in overall appearance (29 x 19 x 9 in.) (Exterior wear; light internal stains to fabric edges).
