The Prussing Estate

Mary B. Leisz was a prominent Berks County artist. She lived and worked with Christopher Shearer, staying on with Mrs. Shearer at the family's homestead in Reading, PA after the artist's death in 1926.

This painting is a copy of one by Christopher Shearer, dated 1922, that was in Mary Leisz' personal collection. The original painting sold at Pook & Pook on October 5, 2012.
