The Prussing Estate

Born in Switzerland, Pfister studied at the San Francisco Art Institute, the Art School of Bremen, Germany, the Art Student's League and Grand Central School of Art in New York City.

This painting was likely completed in the 1920s when Pfister was living in Laguna Beach, CA. In 1932 he joined the faculty at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL as associate professor of art and by 1937 held the same postition at Miss Harris College Prep School in Coral Gables, FL.
