Circa 1885, Signed Yoshitoshi, published by Akiyama Buemon, oban triptych, depicts the legend when Fudo-Myoo, one of the five “Kings of Wisdom" in Buddhist belief, appears to the Buddhist scholar Shonin and Shonin prostates himself and consumes the sword of wisdom, thereby gaining supernatural wisdom and enlightenment, prints are unframed.

DOA: 14 x 29 in.

Good condition; a tear to the top central print; all three prints once connected but now third print has been cut out of the correct line adding additional to central print; some slight foxing but minimal; edges are delicate; loss of paper in two places on right hand print.
