Japanese Arita Charger with Dragons

Mid to late 19th century, porcelain decorated in underglaze blue with two three-claw dragons amidst the clouds and waves encircling a flaming pearl, border is a key design, underside of rim decorated with vines, flowers, and stylized bats, thin blue lines border underside of rim and around the slightly raised foot, five kiln spots on bottom, slight blue double square mark off-center covered with faint red specks of color with excessive scratching around the mark and a yellowish film covering it, same film that covers the upper dragon's tail.

Diameter: 18 in.

Very good condition with minor kiln spots and brown spots, scratches appear on the surface, most noticeable on the slight raised spot in center where flaming pearl is located.
