From the Collection of Mr. Bill Faison, Hillsborough, NC A four-term member of the North Carolina General Assembly and successful attorney, Faison has been a long time supporter of the arts of North Carolina.

Born in Sumter, SC, Faulkner earned his BFA and MFA from UNC-Chapel Hill. He settled in New York after being selected for the Whitney Biennial in 1975. His work has been championed ever since, and he has exhibited extensively throughout the States and abroad. His work is found in numerous museums including the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Gardens in Washington, D.C., the National Museum of American Art in Washington, D.C., UNC's Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill, and the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh.
