Meiji period (1868-1912), signed on the underside, an example of the high period of decorative bronze works in Japan with its carefully crafted octagonal base that becomes smooth as it ascends to a well articulated shaped rim, the high relief dragon has great detail to its body, the dragon clutches a glass ball symbolizing the flaming pearl in its front outstretched claws.
