The first inscribed in pencil good wishes for 1958. and signed by the artist, it is a self-portrait of Eichenberg carving a wood block alongside his son, matted and framed under glass (DOA 7.5 x 9 in.) (mat burn, not examined out of the frame); the second inscribed in the block Christmas 1960 The Peaceable Kingdom Fritz Eichenberg and pencil signed, unframed (Sheet 12.25 x 9 in.) (possible toning to paper).

Gifted by the artist to the consignor's family, all of whom attended the same Quaker Meeting House in New York.
