Mark of Hamilton & Co. of Calcutta, first half of the 19th century, rubbed marks to foot, inverted pear form body finely worked by hand with ornate chased and repousse floral and foliate decoration against a stippled ground, period armorial engraving to shoulder, the shaped spout with rocaille decoration, cast floral finial to hinged cover, cast grape vine handle with ivory insulators allowing for use with mulled wines.
