Geneva, Switzerland, late 19th century, for distributor T. Cox Savory & Co., London, the serial #33214 is inscribed on the interior manuscript card and stamped on the key-wound mechanism's brass frame, the cabinet with lightwood marquetry lid over a mahogany interior, painted faux wood grain exterior, the right panel is hinged so the key can access the movement.

Much of the collection was inherited from Dr. Turner's parents, Royal Navy Captain and Mrs. John Schomberg Hammill and great-grandparents, Admiral Sir Montague Edward Browning and Lady Ruth Boldero Browning.
