Ikeda Taishin was the leading pupil of the celebrated lacquer artist Shibata Zeshin, Taishin's art works are held in the collections of many leading museums worldwide including The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Excellent condition; wooden storage box has a crack down the center.
