Mark of John Sayre & Thomas Richards of New York, NY, active 1802-1813; the four piece service including a teapot, coffee pot (13.25 in.), sugar bowl with cover, and creamer; each of a shaped oval form, the coffee pot raised on a conforming pedestal foot, each featuring floral and foliate engraving to shoulders and covers, each also engraved on both sides with a shield form cartouche flanked by two flags and surmounted by a scrolling foliate design, one cartouche on each featuring a period bright cut engraved monogram "ER," the tall domed covers with urn form finals.

Minor denting to each; the sugar bowl with repairs to the bottom attachment of each handle; the creamer with old solder repairs to handle and body; the creamer also with very worn engraving.
