One in larger horizontal format and one in smaller vertical format, colors and ink on paper, the compositions are based on the time honored subject of Chaekkori (Books and Scholar's Accouterments) in Korean art, this composition is true to the classic version but in print format rather as a painting or a folding screen, framed under glass, not examined outside of the frame.

This subject became very popular in the Joseon court during the late 18th century and early 19th century with most courtiers having a chaekkori painting in their homes.
