Two Woodblock Prints by Terasaki Kogyo (Japanese, 1866-1919)

Includes Hanami (Flower Viewing) and A Chinese Beauty Playing A Lute, ink and colors on paper, but produced as a kuchi-e or frontispiece for a novel or magazine, on one the artist's name Kogyo with red seal on the upper right corner, for the other the title and artist's name with red artist's seal is along the left hand side of the print, both prints have their original kuchi-e folds, two folds, because of their insertion in a magazine or book as an illustrative print, both date to Meiji period when this style of print type was in vogue in Japan.


DOA: 13.75 x 16.5 in. (largest)

Some minor foxing and rubbing to horizontal print; some discoloration around the center to vertical print.
