Dated 1881 (Meiji 14), ink and colors on paper, Chikashige was the pupil of Kunichika, he specialized in actor prints in triptych and diptych formats, this print depicts two actors performing on stage, in rounded edge gilt frame with mat under glass, examined outside of frame and print is loose except for top that is secured with appropriate tape.
