1940, woodblock print, ink and colors on paper, signed on lower left hand side "Hasui" with red "Sui" seal, Watanabe publisher's seal on right hand margin, the wood grain of the block is evident in the sky, this print features the ruins of Fukuoka Castle, a 17th century building that was the largest castle on Kyushu, lotus fill the ponds surrounding the castle walls, and the plants and trees are almost overtaking the castle, print is presented loose.
