Lucienne Bloch's life was astounding because of her diverse artistic talent and her connections with other historically important figures in the arts. She was born in Switzerland, and her father was the celebrated composer, Ernest Bloch. The Bloch Family emigrated to the United States in 1917, where Lucienne expanded upon her already-thriving passion for glassmaking, murals, and photography. Throughout Bloch's life she was connected with various artists, including Frank Lloyd Wright, Antoine Boudelle, as well as Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, with whom she developed a lifelong friendship. This is a portrait of Lucienne's father, Ernest Bloch.

Several faint lines within image, likely part of printing; not examined out of frame.
