Dwell magazine held a competition in 2009 for architects to design a modern pre-fab home under $200,000. The winning design by the New York City firm, Resolution: 4 Architecture, sits atop a private hilltop in Chatham County. After receiving 2,500 visitors during the initial open house it is noted as the most recognizable modern home of the 21st century.
