Late 19th or early 20th century, ink and colors on silk, one illustrates an older woman dressed in a red robe with gold highlights, an elaborate headdress, seated on a wooden throne chair with tiger fur draped over it, the other an older man with mustache and beard wearing a dark gray robe with rank badge of a white crane, framed under glass, frame has label for "Yung Shing Co, 970 Bubbling Well Rd, Shanghai" on reverse, not examined outside of the frame.

DOA 12 x 10 in.

Consignor lived in Shanghai during the early 20th century.
