Mark attributed to James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, late 19th century, oval form with original covers featuring delicate fern and foliate engraving, each with period armorial engraving incorporating the motto "Immaculate Cens," with removable ring handles.

Both dishes with some holes to beaded detail from over 100 years of polishing; one lid with small area of bleeding to top; some scratching and wear to well.
